CREATE A HOME & LEGACY
Mortgages provide individuals and businesses with an effective way to purchase a property.
Although for many being able to obtain a mortgage has become stricter than in the past, a mortgage is not only an important financial product for many as a way to obtain individual and family security but an accessible one with some, a little, the right planning.
There are differing mortgage products available ‘Sure Sell’ can help to ensure you get the right guidance needed, with the right provider, at a price you can afford.
Fixed-Rate mortgages, the interest rate remains the same throughout the entire deal period, typically, fixed deals can be over two to five years, although it can be possible to get 10-year fixed-rate deals.
Tracker mortgages are variable-rate mortgages that track the Bank of England base rate as it moves up and down. The result is that as and when the base rate changes, so will the rate applicable to the mortgage.
Buy-to-Let mortgages are for use by prospective landlords wishing to purchase property in order to rent out to others, rather than as a residence. Application for such mortgages is based on rental income.
Standard Variable Rate mortgages (SVR’s) are specific to the lender. Referred to by them as the default mortgage rate, which borrowers can be moved to once their existing mortgage deal ends.

What’s the difference between interest-only and repayment mortgages
There are two ways to repay your mortgage:
- Repayment
- Interest-only
With a repayment mortgage, you pay back a small part of the loan and the interest each month. Assuming you make all your payments, you’re guaranteed to pay off the whole loan at the end of the term.
With an interest-only mortgage, you only pay the interest on the loan. At the end of the term, you’ll still owe the original amount you borrowed.
What is a mortgage?
A mortgage is a type of secured loan that’s used to finance the purchase of a property. Where the borrower promises collateral to the lender in the event that they stop making payments. In the case of a mortgage, the collateral is the home.
